(SMIDSY: "Sorry, mate, I didn't see you".)
Scenario: A normal single carriageway, two-way road, near a town centre, with a shopper's car park entrance on the other side of the road.
Simply following in a slow moving line of cars, a car pulled out of the car park entrance, across the other lane, to pull in front of me.
This was a panic situation for me. The road was greasily damp, although I wasn't going quickly, I was sure I would run into the back of the car, particularly as it was going very slowly, barely accelerating.
The car meandered on, and after a couple of hundred yards, slowed behind a traffic light queue.
My adrenalin was sky high, I rode up right behind, my headlights shining right onto the driver's rear view mirror.
"I AM HERE" I shouted, whether out loud or not I can't remember. I actually considered going up beside to remonstrate with the driver, but as I started to come down to earth, I realised the driver was a little old lady, it wouldn't be good to start hammering on her window!
So, I managed to calm myself down, and decided there was nothing I could usefully do, except add it to my experience store.
